Britney Preps for Fall Tour
Britney Spears is coming to a town near you. The pop princess is currently scheduling a 31-date North American tour for October and November, and eager fans will be able to snatch up tickets in September, Billboard.com reports. Included in Britney's tour will be a November 18 stop in Las Vegas, which will broadcast live on HBO. The special is titled "Britney Spears Live From The MGM Grand Las Vegas." As AllPop previously reported, Britney's new album will be released on November 6. The new album's debut single is scheduled for release next month. Britney's 2000 tour grossed more than $30 million. In more Britney news, the singer's first film, "What Are Friends For", will be released in North America in March 2002, according to IMDB.com. July 1
Artful Dodger Hopes to work with Britney
Ananova reported that Artful Dodger's Mark Hill says they are too busy to do remixes for Madonna. He says they have been working with Craig David and would like to team up with Britney Spears. Hill admitted that working with Britney Spears is something which has been discussed. "I'd be against the idea of trying to write a song that's a Britney Spears song, but if we come up with something that's our style and she can lend herself to it and maybe experiment with it, something might come out of it," said Hill. Artful Dodger are set to play MOBOfest in London's Victoria Park on August 4. June 30
Britney 'Blew My Mind'
The acting of princess of pop Britney Spears has apparently 'blown the mind' of one of her acting colleagues, according to reports.
Spears is set to star in 'What Friends Are For' next year, her first feature length, starring movie.
The film, which features Britney in a rites-of-passage' college flick, has begun filming, with Britney's acting earning rave reviews from co-star Taryn Marring.
She insisted "Everybody's gonna be like 'wow!' I was a little sceptical myself at first Then I read the script and auditioned with her and she blew my mind with her acting.
"She has it. It's within her. It's natural and she's fun to be with".

Justin & Britney 'still virgins'
Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears are still virgins, according to Justin's grandmother. Sadie Nomar says that the pair decided not to move into Britney's Los Angeles mansion to avoid temptation. Mrs Nomar said Justin does not agree with sex before marriage and regarded living with Britney as a sin. She told HEAT magazine," Justin has high morals and has not slept with anyone." She says the pair have no plans to marry at the moment because they only ever see eachother about once a month. When they are together, the couple do what normal teenagers do, said Mrs Nomar - ride bikes, watch videos, long walks.

For the week of May 5th , Britney's album 'Oops...! I Did It Again' went down 25 spots to the #95 position on the Billboard 200 Album Chart while being on the chart for 49 weeks.

MTV news reported that Missy Elliot and Timbaland may do some work on Britney Spears' next album.
Brook Beats Britney as Sexiest Women
Kelly Brook has been voted the world's sexiest women of all time. The former Big Breakfast presenter beat off competition from Marilyn Monroe , Pamela Anderson , and Britney Spears to land the title. Britney came 8th in the pole by male magazine Maxim. Anna Kournikova only just made it into the Top 20 of 1000 women listed.

Herb Ritts and Britney Spears Britney has teamed up with legendary photographer/director Herb Ritts on a video for the ballad ' Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know'" her fourth video from the eight times platinum, Oops...! I Did It Again. " She just wanted to do something fresh" says,"says Ritts, who was imediatly won over by Spears' determination , not to mention her acting ability. Britney Is Not Yet Engaged With Justin
False Rumor : Ananova reported Britney is to get engaged to Justin Timberlake, according to a British newspaper. The pair are expected to make the official announcement just before Britney releases her third album in the autumn. The news is said to have been leaked in an internal memo from her record company JIVE. The memo also suggests planting stories about Britney appearing at a Madonna gig,to attain publicity for the singer, The Sunday people reported.
The news is false because the internal Jive memo is a work of fiction, and was written by one of her fans. April 13
